Dr. Mark Godat

Dr. Mark J. Godat is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in private practice since 1987 and provides comprehensive Women’s Healthcare services in Dallas. He strives to treat all his patients as if they were his own family members. This is a trait and a passion that he shared with his father, Dr. Joseph Godat, who was a beloved OB/GYN in the Dallas area for over 40 years. His favorite part of his job is establishing and maintaining the doctor-patient relationship through all phases of a woman’s life, from adolescents to delivering babies to caring for them later in their life.

Dr. Godat takes great pride in providing a long history of experience, as well as cutting-edge care for his patients, some of whom have been with him for more than 25+ years. He and his staff offer over 70+ years of combined experience to provide patients with the most current information and innovations in women’s health, high-risk pregnancy care, routine gynecological services, and additional services.

Graduating with a Doctorate in medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Dr. Godat completed his OB/GYN residency at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Godat is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Godat retains affiliations with Medical City Dallas. He currently services on the Governing Board for Unified Women’s Healthcare of Texas and The Partners Board of Medical City Dallas ASC. He currently serves on the National Speakers Bureau for Duchesnay, Cord Blood Registry, and for the Minerva Ablation Device. He continues to lecture to residents, mid-level providers and other physicians on numerous women’s healthcare topics. He has been a member of Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and National American Menopause Society. He serves on Boards of Ortho Women’s Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline, and Eli Lilly and Company.

Dr Godat has been married to his wife, Jan for 40+ years and enjoys spending time with his three children, their spouses, and seven beautiful grandchildren.

Dr. Sarah Kennedy

Dr. Kennedy is Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and strives to deliver quality, patient-centered and compassionate obstetrical and gynecological care to the women of Dallas. Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Kennedy attended the all-girls school, Hockaday, from Pre-K until her graduation in 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where she also played collegiate field hockey during her four years there. She then returned to Texas to complete her medical school training at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas before completing her residency in OB/GYN at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Permian Basin in Midland/Odessa, Texas in 2023, where she was elected Chief Resident during her final year of training.

Dr. Kennedy enjoys many aspects of women’s healthcare including normal and higher-risk obstetrics, well woman care, contraception care, problem gynecology, gynecological surgery including minimally invasive robotics, incontinence and menopausal care. She is passionate about working together with her patients to achieve an individualized and appropriate plan of care leading to ideal outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Kennedy enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the great outdoors, traveling both domestically and abroad, rooting for all of the Dallas sports teams, and finding new culinary adventures.

Nurse Practitioner

Barbara Mauk

Barbara is originally from Georgia where she attended West Georgia College, now known as The University of West Georgia where she obtained her degree in Nursing. After several years of working in Women's Healthcare, as a Registered Nurse, Barbara decided to continue her education at San Jose State University in California. She completed the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program then moved to Texas where she became a Nurse Practitioner. Barbara joined Dr. Godat in 1995 and has enjoyed caring for patients and working with Dr. Godat and the staff for the last 20+ years.

Barbara and her husband, Dave, have been married for 30+ years. Together they have one son and 2 cherished granddaughters. Barbara says that she loves working in Women’s Healthcare and cares deeply for our patients. “I have a more holistic and complete care approach to serve our patients.”

Kylie Thai

Kylie graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Psychology. She went on to receive her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University in Paris, TN. Even though Kylie is a Houston native, she has made Dallas her permanent home after completing PA School here.

In her spare time, Kylie enjoys exploring our beautiful new city, going on walks with her boyfriend, trying new foods, and cheering on her Texas Longhorns.

Terry Puente

Terry has 20+ years experience in Women's Healthcare and she joined Dr Godat's office in 1998. She is dedicated to serving patients and truly enjoys working with Dr. Godat and the staff. She feels like they are a second family to her.

When she is not in the office, Terry enjoys spending time with her husband of 35+ years and her 3 beautiful children and 5 adorable grandchildren. She loves serving others and participates in many community and church activities.
